Explore a universe of colour in one of our most vibrant workshops. In this Resin Art Workshop, the artist and mentor Durgha will equip you with the right know how and technical skills required to create your own resin art masterpiece.
What you will create? Make your very own wood resin server with two coasters. Perfect for your cheese and wine nights!
Durgha is influenced by colour, abstract and the workability of acrylics and pouring mediums. She loves to manipulate and play around with the resins viscosity and resin colours to get new and interesting results. She is a self-taught artist and runs art tuition and resin classes and will work with you to achieve the best results in your resin art piece.You can take back with you your Completed art work.
We will follow a moderately structured agenda centered on the following:
– Understanding different types of Wood: Plywood, MDF, rubberwood and pine wood and how properties such as hardness and grain affects its working.
Using appropriate safety measures: Gloves, Masks, and how to orient yourself when trying different woodworking methods theory about resin types and the technicalities of working with resin.
Practical Woodworking Techniques using Hand Tools and Power Tools: Circular Saws, Power Drills, Sanders, Nail Guns, Staple Guns and more.
Finishing Process: buffing your wood project, and learning how to “treat” your final product (so to speak!)
Along with the above, participants will get guided demonstrations of THE Workshop’s professional carpentry equipment:
CIRCULAR SAW and JIGSAW
– BENCH SANDER, ORBITAL SANDER and FINGER SANDER
– HANDHELD POWER DRILLS and HAND TOOLS

The Program Fee includes a comprehensive Safety Induction, Cost of Materials, Expert Mentoring and up to 2 ADDITIONAL HOURS of WOOD SHOP/WORKSHOP utilization for project work to be completed as per the participant’s leisure
THE Workshop facilitators will be on hand to mentor participants on the correct usage of all the above listed tools as well guide them through the Design Thinking process of the build
Participants MUST WEAR CLOSED-TOE SHOES (no sandals, no chappals) for the duration of the workshop and strictly adhere to Safety Procedures mentioned during the Safety Induction at the start of the session
We will also guide participants where to get which tools, what to look for when buying tools for DIY activities and what should be fair prices for such equipment.
