Project Description

THE Upcyclers Strike Back is a two-day immersive, hands-on experience combining basic woodworking techniques and sustainable design concepts. Based on a Zero Waste concept, this is perfect for DIYers to explore an eco-friendly methodology of making. This is a modular format workshop, meaning you can choose to attend the full 2 days or attend a single day experience.

From building furniture to creating artefacts, this workshop is designed to get you hands-on with various tools and techniques –– and all this using upcycled or waste materials. On day 1 you will work with upcycled Chipboards (made from tetrapac) to create whatever you want. Day 2 will involve unique design methodologies to change what cardboard can be. Fun stuff. And all for the greater good.

– Learn how to use the saw, chisel, drill and sander.
– View demonstrations of Router, Table saw and Mitre saw
– Practice making accurate measurements on your boards.
– Gain hands-on experience working with modern, state of the art, Wood Shop Power Tools.
